to Adventures in Trucking? I don’t know. I looked at the site this morning, it was still there, but the display was messed up. I spent the last three days working on Life on the Road’s new look. I didn’t even think I touched AiT, but something wasn’t right. So this is temporary until I either find out what happened or choose a different one. And I think I may have found some pictures that aren’t listed on the photo page yet. Plus, WordPress came out with a version upgrade that I probably need to install, now is as good a time as any, this way I can see if it works before I put it on Life on the Road.

I’ve got plenty of time. I was looking at loads and there are plenty coming out of California, but for some reason nothing I can haul out of the Northeast without going to and getting stuck in Florida. If I’m here over the weekend, I may just start driving west until I either find a load or get home. I will wait till after the big storm this weekend. Right now in Southern NJ, the sun is out. But everyone is talking about the storm further north and more this weekend.

I hate having to pay to park, and now that my generator isn’t working AGAIN! I would be idling somewhere else. I’m almost out of food in the fridge, so I’ll have to spend money in the truck stop restaurant, idle or pay for heat or pay for parking, pay for shower, it’s getting to the point that it costs the same amount of money to sit as it does to drive. Hopefully something will come up that moves west.

  1. Hey Wayne and Cindy. I want to thank you for sharing a little part of your lives with us. I’m a wanna-be trucker who is currently looking at making the move over to trucking sometime next summer. I just finished up reading all of your blog entries on AiT. I have a few more things to check out on AiT then it’s over to LotR. Your web site and blog has been a big help to me and I’m sure others like me get an idea of what life on the road is like.

Cindy … good luck with the classes.
Wayne … be safe out there.

I look forward to your next entry. -TT

  2. Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully next summer will be better than it is right now.

  3. I’ve heard several drivers say that the freight has been slow this year. Hopefully things will pickup soon. Good luck. -TT
