Kind of like We’re at the Superbowl! We’re in the general area, but not actually at the game. We’ve been home since the first of February. I’ve been doing some short hops and some local stuff while Cindy had to go to Minnesota to take care of some truck business and to see family.
The company we haul for got a contract from Adidas to drive their custom trucks and trailer from Saint Louis, MO and once in Vegas to drive around the strip. Which is a traffic nightmare. The night of the actual game (tonight) will probably be the worst.
Cruising up and down the strip with an Adidas Marketing Rep isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. The strip has turned into a parking lot. It takes hours to move a couple of blocks. But always plenty of sights to see. From the people on the sidewalks to the people "driving" alongside. Yesterday a Jaywalker was killed and shut down one side of the strip for several blocks for several hours. And Metro did a gang roundup at one of the casinos with buses and riot gear a few nights ago.
Tonight is the last night I’m doing this because we have a "real" trip to Chicago and we leave Monday morning. I’m going to try and take some night shots on the strip which may or may not turn out. In the meantime check out the MGM Lion and the custom truck I’m driving all right here.

The Jaywalker getting killed when traffic doesn’t move probably doesn’t make sense. This was during the day and there are certain spots you can get up to speed between lights.
