I now have a load going to California, but it doesn’t load until Tuesday. It’s a hurry up and get there. I topped off the fuel tanks today so I don’t have to mess with that for a few days.
I left the Petro in Bordentown to go south fifty miles to get fuel in southern New Jersey. Fuel at the Petro was $3.68 and fifty miles away is $3.139. Even though I have to back-track to go north to Pennsylvania it was worth it. Plus, that Idleaire thing gets expensive at about $1.50 an hour it adds up. At least I didn’t have to pay to park. Apparently, the parking attendants don’t work on the weekends. If my shore power on my generator was working, I’d go back and get free parking and free electric.
Idleaire is supposed to be cheaper than idling, but Volvo engines say they take the least amount of fuel to idle between 0.2 and 0.5 gallons an hour. The generator takes about the same, but it saves wear and tear and I get 3000 watts of electric without running the engine (when it works). And I can switch the motor off and on without being charged a full hour. Plus, I need to look for a store
I fixed the design for Adventures in Trucking, but I may still change it. I’m leaning toward the theme I have on Life on the Road, because there are several things in that theme I want to try out. You may still log on one day and see something different.
