Rest area at the top of Vail pass on I70

From the 17th of this month. On my way from Denver to Las Vegas on I70 I stopped at the rest area at the top of Vail pass so Willie could play in the snow. He’s not a Snow Dog. We need to get a coat for him for when it really does get cold.

Colorado changed their chain laws so we have to start carrying chains starting on the 1st of September, now I know why.

  1. The snow was all melted when I came through. I usually stop at the “commercial truck parking” across from the snow equipment shed. It isn’t as scenic as the rest area, but it is quick in and out.

  2. Thanks for running a great trucking blog. I am going to enjoy reading this one.
