texas weatherThe local news here in Dallas is predicting a possible big ice storm. Dirt trucks are being loaded and staged at midnight in preparation of freezing rain. Looking at the weather maps, there is a lot of rain and it is supposed to get below freezing. It’s probably a good thing I’m not driving.

Every time I come through Texas, New Mexico and Chicago, it makes me want to get back into listening to my Spanish CD’s. I should, just an hour a day would get me started again. I was actually doing pretty good. Able to understand a little, even normal spanish on TV, I needed to practice speaking. It’s not like I’m lacking opportunities out here.

What kind of big electronics business having a trade show in Vegas next week orders 7 trucks for their booth and only uses 4? It’s not that tough to estimate how many trucks if you know how much freight you have. I can understand missing by 1 or 2 trucks, but 4? Idiots.

I’ve got gas, food and the generator’s working. I only get one english TV station, but plenty of CSI DVDs, and a decent Internet connection. I keep thinking I should have drove to Vegas from New Mexico, but you never know which one of these is going to work or fail miserably. Oh well.
