I am currently the VP of Consumer Marketing for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. Beef It’s What’s For Dinner. I have been with the same company for 32 years. I am a Vietnam Era Vet 59 years old. I am thinking very seriously about going to driving school to earn my CDL As a farm kid I have driven all sorts of equipment but never a semi I love to drive
Any suggestions? Do you think I am nuts?

Companies are making an extra effort to hire older drivers. I started when I was 39. Trucking is more than driving. Be sure you get into a company or the ‘kind’ of trucking where there isn’t much of a chance for physical labor and it might be fun.
