Well, its been 8 days of home life and as they say, we owe, we owe, so its off to work we go. Oh yes the facts of life that us common folk must follow until age 65 or longer. The Golden Years sounds nice but as my mom says, “There’s nothing Golden about them”. Today we pack the truck and head for San Jose for a pick-up Wednesday that is going to Austin, TX. We have another on the 29th at the same place so we are hoping for a load to take back.
My daughter, her husband and 4 of my grandchildren are coming to Las Vegas on June 1st for a 9 day visit and we are driving to Disneyland, Universal Studio’s and Seaworld for the week. So we have some more time off real soon. Then we work for the rest of the summer so don’t get too jealous.
We have planned this vacation since last February. We both have been dieting since we came home and will continue the South Beach Diet on the road. We had a great time at home (Las Vegas) with friends and family which included one night out on the Strip to see Tim Conway and Harvey Korman at the Stardust complements of our Father-in-Law. Wayne’s niece was in town and a very fun person to be around. We all had a good laugh as Tim and Harvey are still funny in their Golden Years.
