We drove all night so we could unload and reload today instead of being stuck over the weekend. We’re still stuck, but at least we have a little more to do. After we loaded in Georgia this afternoon (Fri) we went to the nearest truck stop and parked. We have three days to do a one day trip and have no desire to be out on the road with all the other nuts drivers.

We are on our way to Syracuse, NY then the plan is to get something out of Maryland Wed or Thursday back west to California or Vegas.

I’ve (Wayne) been hired to be the Managing Editor at a new blog. It’s a paid position, it won’t replace trucking and it’s not full time, but now I’ll get paid a little for all the time I spend on the Internet reading about trucking anyway. Not a bad gig. The site isn’t quite ready yet, but there is a big corporate sponsor, writers, programmers and marketing people behind this. I will be the editor and will still contribute my opinion about trucking whether people want to hear it or not. But mainly, I will be helping to guide the other writers with where we (me and the customer) want this new site to go. It’s not quite ready, but as soon as it is I will post the address, the plan is for next week sometime.

Me and Cindy will still be updating this site, because this site is mainly for friends and family and really has nothing to do with the trucking industry. And Cindy is perfectly capable of updating this site with what we are doing to help keep our friends up to date.

Willie is doing fine. Most of the time, we think he’s Satan’s little brother, but he’s getting better. We’ve got to get some video up here of when he’s playing or singing, absolutely hilarious.
