Cimg0599We arrived home (Las Vegas) late in the afternoon on Sunday, Christmas Day. Just 48 hours prior to that we had left Pen Argle, Pennsylvannia. Since this was a team run we had no time to stop in Kansas or Minnesota to celebrate Christmas with our families. Wayne’s phone rang about 10:30 pm and it was the broker asking where we were and needed us down at the Convention Center ASAP!!! So no sleep for Wayne as the original plan was to unload the next morning. He didn’t return unloaded until Monday afternoon as that is a story in itself.

Well the good news is we are taking some time off to move into our new place on the west side of town. We will be across the street from family which makes it nice when we are home for visiting. Back on the road in January and we already have two trips booked. First one from Las Vegas to Miami and the second one from Orlando to San Diego. Wayne and I call the second trip our Cannonball run trip as there are 27 trucks with team drivers that have 48 hours to travel 2500 miles. We have met other teams and couples and they all are committed to this run 2 times a year. Lots of them even fly in to team-up and drive together because the money is GREAT!!! My brother lives near Orlando so I hope to have some time to visit and my sister is in San Diego so maybe we can say “hi” to them also.
