Oh yes, I do like California because of the sunshine, warm weather, scenery and most of all it is close to Las Vegas which is home for Wayne and I. We haven’t been home since March 28th. I say its definitely time. We are currently in Salt Lake City where we made two drops yesterday. This trip started last Saturday early morning with 3 stops in Florida all pick-ups. Lakeland, Tampa and Cape Coral. Then Sunday on our way north to stops in Ohio, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois. Then the race to get to Salt Lake City came Thursday morning and took us through yet another ice/snow storm in NW Nebraska through Mid-Wyoming. The truck looked like a GIANT POPSICLE. Our first stop was at 3:30 pm Friday and second at 5:00 pm. Wayne parked the truck at the Flying J facing the snow-capped mountains just north of Salt Lake City and we had a quiet evening with a beautiful view. This morning its off to Vancouver, Washington for a stop Sunday morning then to Everette, Washington just
north of Seattle for a pick-up Monday morning. We make a stop in Oregon then to Burbank, California.
We both want to visit home for 5 days or so for Mother’s Day and some R&R. Wayne’s mom is in Las Vegas and she is fun to spend time with. The 4 of us, (her husband Ed) go to lunch and share what’s been happening in each others lives. Always a good time. My son also lives in Las Vegas with his wife and daughter (my precious Lauren) which we always find time to babysit when home.
