I was going to title this something like “Waiting Again”, but I’m sure I’ve used that at least once or twice. But it’s true, we (me and Willie) are waiting again.  I’m starting to get jealous of Cindy’s staying home getting to study and so tired of the idiotic, inconsiderate, filthy animals out here, along with the traffic and crap in general.

After driving all night to deliver mail from Indianapolis to Atlanta, I have to wait till Wednesday to pick up a tradeshow going back to Henderson, NV when I can put the truck in the shop and spend a few days at home.

I was going to stay in the Petro in Atlanta, but decided if I was going to be there for a couple of days, I wanted to park for free. Even the thirty mile drive west to a better truck stop where I can shower for free, park for free and walk around without fear of getting run over or mugged was probably cheaper then the $12 a day for the privilege of parking in a hot, overcrowded garbage dump.

I have a couple of things I want to get done and they both include Velcro! Which is the greatest invention of all time. Willie is going to take me for another walk tomorrow, I’m going to do taxes, clean the truck, fix the curtains that go over the windshield (that’s where the Velcro comes in) and maybe get the truck washed tomorrow or the next day. Then go for another walk.

After doing some work on Life on the Road, Willie is resting under the blanket with his head on my leg. He’s such a good dog when he’s sleeping! He is getting better, he still has a fit when I leave the truck, but it doesn’t seem to last as long and I can be outside the truck doing stuff and he will sit and watch instead of continually going spastic. And going for a walk, after his initial excitement of being out of the truck, he settles down and can actually walk next to me.
