I know, you probably don't think so at the moment if you are still hanging out in Houston! lol It sounds like you and Cindy have had your highs and lows as team truckers -- my husband and I are seriously considering leaving our current careers (he is a Streets Foreman with the city, and I am a Human Resources professional with the county), to venture into team trucking (with a trucking company like Stevens Transport). He has trucked previously, but I have not. Some of the things I need to know in order to make my decision to do this are: What can we expect in compensation annually? Is trucking and compensation steady throughout the year? How often do you get to go home? Where do you shower/bathe/sleep? What personal essentials do you take each haul? Does it get monotonous/boring/stressful, etc? What's it like from a female perspective (if I could ask Cindy that)? What keeps you trucking? What influenced Cindy to go back to school, as opposed to keep trucking? I know, these are a lot of questions, but I am nearing 47 and do not want to go into this blindly, nor does my husband. But this is something he's dreamed of, and we get along so well that we THINK it would be a good move.
