Actually, west of Chicago in the suburbs. It was such a nightmare getting out of Chicago going to Indianapolis for my final delivery Friday because of construction and even the side streets were jammed because a few traffic lights were out. I was doing everything I could think of to get around that mess. I should have gone to Saint Louis, then Indianapolis, it would have been quicker.

Going back to Chicago, I went west then north and coming into the suburbs from the west and not even touching Chicago or I80 in Indiana or Illinois. I hear on the CB that streets are flooded and traffic is being detoured. I went 100 miles out of the way and I’m glad I avoided all of that.

I’m not supposed to be loaded until late tomorrow, but I’m going to show up early anyway. 1950 miles to the first delivery in Oregon. The plan is to start deliveries on Friday morning and finish Friday afternoon with four deliveries, ending up in Tacoma, WA. Possible, but I’m going try and deliver the first stop late Thursday. I’m delivering fixtures to retail stores, they should be open late, right? Usually, the store is open, but there isn’t anyone in receiving after normal business hours. At least it’s west, and I’ll probably be there over the long weekend.  Great.
